What we learned on Christmas Break (by Beckam and Rylan)

  • Driving in the car for 6 hours isn't that bad as long as we have Toy Story 1 or 2 playing on the portable DVD player (our newest obsession) When either movie is not playing we feel like our world is crashing around us. (We are now going through Woody and Buzz withdrawal and ask to watch them 15 times a day)
  • Sledding is the funnest thing to do as long as we never have to actually touch snow, or walk on it, which means our parents carry us back up the hill or pull us on the sled, or we will have a meltdown.

  • We can sleep anywhere as long as we both have cribs, the room is pitch black, a fan is on full blast, and we are not sick or teething
  • It is cool to wear the same exact pajamas as each other and as our cousins

  • We're now too cool to sit in high chairs or booster seats
  • We will hold still for at least one family picture, but don't expect us to smile or be as cute as we are

  • Elmo slippers make us run faster and jump higher

  • Santa Claus is someone who now haunts our dreams

We hope you all had a great Holiday season like we did :)

That was such a fun way to post and comment. I loved the captions. I only wish I could make the pictures bigger so I could see the one of the whole family better. I haven't seen everyone since Grandma's funeral.

THIS IS HILAROUS! I love your post. Your family picture is awesome. Your kids crack me up. I especially love the picture of the tears and sledding.

That was an awesome post. They sure learned tons being with the family! Love that they love Buzz and Woody...now those are movies I can actually quote from. I'm surprised you added that picture of Rylan crying after he got that ice shower flying down the mountain. I know it makes you sad, but I still have the memory of seeing just his little eyeballs peering through this sheet of snow on his cute little face. Cute, until he actually started crying. I have to call you soon, I have some stuff to share.

Poor Santa, I wouldn't want his job for the world, i can't even get my own kid to sit in my lap.

I love real life pictures. That is how 80% of the pictures I take are of the boys crying or James giving me one of his nasty glares. Sounds like you had a super holiday.

Looks like you had an old-fashioned family Christmas. Were your family pictures taken in that butterfly room at the Pacific Science Museum? The Santa pictures were also great

I got confused when I went to make a comment and already saw one from julia, julie and jules. Zach got the same Elmo slippers, they do seem to have special powers.

So funny! I love the Santa pictures, my kids wouldn't go anywhere near him, but I think I would be a little wierded out if they were too quick to jump on a stranger's lap anyway ;)
