The Reason I haven't Posted House Pictures...

We found out a few months ago that we would probably be moving from Virginia this summer. So all of our house stuff came to a halt! Not a grinding halt, we finished projects, but we didn't do anything exciting in the way of decor. So I've painted the boys room and the baby's room (no more hideous trains), but they are both off-white, not too exciting. I will still post pictures when I've finished decorating what I can, but they won't be what I had originally envisioned. Pretty disappointing! I was very upset when we found out, obviously we wouldn't have bought a house had we known we wouldn't live here all three years! But that is the way things are in the military, and we have learned our lesson. To make things worse they gave us two unappealing options, and we didn't feel good about either one. (both involved Robert leaving on a ship for many months) After a month or so of crying, fretting and praying, we found renters for our house and we finally got an offer we were excited about, and we will be eating this every day:

We have official orders to move to Yokosuka, Japan!!! It's about 45 minutes outside of Tokyo, and we are seriously excited about it! It's overwhelming to think of being overseas with a new baby and the twins, but we joined the Navy to have adventure, and what could be more of an adventure than moving to Japan? My biggest concern is where am I going to get clothes that are long enough for me over there???

Wow, that is a huge change. It's exciting that you were able to get things settled here before going. The clothes thing, well, big care packages from the US maybe? You will figure it all out I'm sure.

I love that you guys are willing and excited about living over seas. Now's the time to do that while the boys are young. It will be such an amazing experience, and you'll come back so cultured! :)

Wow Japan!!! How exciting! We have some friends in the air force that just moved over there. I don't remember what area exactly, but they are loving it. Check out the link to Kurt and Heather on my blog, and you can read about some of their adventures over there. You are going to be one busy lady these next few months. Good luck with everything.

Crying, fretting, and praying...that is what sticks out in my mind the most about our military days :) We sure are grateful for those men and women that serve our country...Thanks Stoners! Congrats on Japan, that will be exciting. I am sure you will have a wonderful PX where you can find long pants.
