UGH. So for the past couple weeks I've been trying to get back into shape, well working on eventually getting back into shape. IT SUCKS!!! We go to the YMCA (they take baby's 6 weeks old AWESOME!!!), but Canon isn't exactly on a predictable schedule, so taking classes is hit and miss. Mostly I've been relying on the treadmill, or just running the loop around my neighborhood. so boring. I have a few songs on my Zune (just say no to ipods) that keep me going, but I am in desperate need of some additional musical motivation. So, I am taking a leaf from my sister's book, and asking everyone for ideas on music to exercise to! Please help me!!! Here are a few of my favorite workout songs:
"So What" by Pink
"Rooftops" by The Lost Prophets
"Hands Open" by Snow Patrol
"Pump It" by Black Eyed Peas
"Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy
I don't care what kind of music it is, I have all kinds on my workout playlist that I wouldn't normally listen to. Anything with a good beat that gets you moving!
And, because I can't resist, here are a couple of pictures of the reason I need help :) (he was worth it)

I seriously doubt you have pudge. But I am right there with you. Finley was so worth it but it would sure be nice to at least be able to wear my old jeans!! It is SLOWLY coming off, but I guess having gained over 40 pounds and am now down to only 12 left to go, I should be happy!
I don't usually listen to music while I'm working out because 1) my ipod isn't charged, 2) I can't find my earphones, or 3) I'm just dying for some quiet. I was in this awesome running group once, and we would go about 3-4 times a week, and we would just talk the whole time and it was so fun. Ahhh....I miss the good old days.
Who works out after their baby is just 6 weeks! Man, that is dedication. I like to run to "Sleep to dream" bu Fiona Apple if I'm hating running at the time. 1234 by Feist if i'm enjoying it.
He is so cute!!!! So are Rylan and Beckam... I love the new pics on the side. I suggest old songs from the 70's disco era! Try Dianna Ross, The Commodores (sp?) K.C. and the Sunshine Band. If nothing else they will make you laugh.
He is so adorable!! I've been having pudge problems too. I ride my exercise bike most mornings and I think I've only gone down two pounds in the eleven weeks since her birth.
Canon is so cute! I can't believe how fast they grow. I have my 6 week check-up tomorrow, and am planning to start up on the eliptical next week. It's been so long since I worked out, but I will let you know if I find any great music.
K girl, you asked for it. This is the top of my 'I HAVE to sprint the last mile home because Lance needs to leave for work in five minutes' list. Good for you for working out...I'm right there with you.
Guaranteed to get your feet moving:
Chop Me Up by Justin Timberlake/Timberland
Kiss Kiss by Chris Brown
Break the Ice by Britney Spears (I KNOW!)
Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis
Lose Control by Diara/Fatman/Missy Elliot (although I start dancing WHILE running - Beware: people start staring)
Beep by Pussycat Dolls
No Air by Jordin Sparks (Makes me laugh WHILE running. No Air, get it? :)
Bounce by Sarah Connor (my latest fave...also sorta makes me laugh...I think about my chubs bouncing ;)
Amanda
Hehe, you have always been so in shape. You inspire me... too bad you're far away. I can't seem to loose the last 10 pounds that I gained with Arya and it's been 15 months! You can check out my pudge and thigh on Maggie's blog... gotta love photography sometimes.
He is such a doll! I can not wait to munch on him. I think I'll keep him because you can't take him all the way to Japan. Not fair! Here is my current faves aka angry boy music:
-Rage Against the Machine "Guerrilla Radio" (a surprising and bold choice for me, but I like it esp. edited)
-The Killers "Somebody Told Me"
-The Offspring "Gone Away"
-"Let it Rock" by Kevin Rudolf & Lil Wayne
-"Come With Me" Puff Daddy(ick)& Jimmy Page
-Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" (until they yell shut up at me)
and one angry girl song by Pink "Just like a Pill" because she sings about running and that is what I do like Forrest...I run.
I love his eyebrows. Dont worry you will kick that pudge out the window. Becoming lactose intolerant helped me. But I dont recomend that route.
Whatever Jessica JO. You do not have pudge! Some good tunes might be some Rhianna, T.I. (edited of course!!) and a little Justin Timberlake.. Love YOU!
Man he is cute. And so are you. Thanks for the announcement!
maybe I'm lame, but my current workout music is mostly 80's Flashdance and Footloose soundtracks. Favorites are
Romeo by Donna Summers. Have fun in Japan. Mike's dad was stationed there as a DDS in the AirForce when Mike was a kid and they LOVED it! GOOD LUCK!
